Uncyclopedia, on flogging a dead horse

When a horse strays from the path of the righteous into the lovely fresh grassy fields of crime, nothing is going to bring it back, not even a lump of sugar or the threat of a firing squad

stop the world I wanna get off

the past few days have been so fast paced. I'm even surprised that I don't even have the time to feel tired as things have been dropping on me from nowhere and cluttering my schedule with them.
first, the bataan trip. I barely noticed it.
the next day - monday, a connection was made. the next few hours, it was broken. just like that.
along came tuesday, where I saw something that was never meant for my eyes. I came to know something that not for me, something that was best left unknown for it will result me and her great discomfort. and this is not a scandal. haha (*expressionless laugh).
this night, I tried to repair a relationship from last year.
hopefully it will go well.
I feel so... methodical. I can't feel emotions anymore and been doing everything with clear cut precision. It has a rigid destination which is what I've always hated.
It's too technical and lacks personality.
am I losing my personality?

goodbye and forever hello

I said goodbye to a place I held dear for almost a year a few hours ago. The magnitude of this event came like an afterthought, for I was anticipating my next destination, and that I think that destination held more promise than the place I was leaving behind. As I walked away from that place, I recalled everything that had happened between me and it's inhabitants and took into mind everything that has contributed to my resolve never to see that place again. Even though we parted in good spirits, I just never wanted to go back to that place again. It's a sincere.... farewell.

On my way I spotted an ice cream shop. I bought the most expensive single serve ice cream I could find.
and I don't even like ice cream.

The Coolidge Effect.

Coolidge effect

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In biology and psychology, the term Coolidge effect describes a phenomenon – seen in nearly every species in which it has been tested – whereby males show continuously high sexual performance given the introduction of new receptive females. The sex difference that the effect refers to is explained by Bateman's principle.

Origin of the term

The term comes from an old joke, according to which President Calvin Coolidge and his wife allegedly visited a poultry farm. During the tour, Mrs. Coolidge inquired of the farmer how his farm managed to produce so many fertile eggs with such a small number of roosters. The farmer proudly explained that his roosters performed their duty dozens of times each day.

"Perhaps you could point that out to Mr. Coolidge," pointedly replied the First Lady.

The President, overhearing the remark, asked the farmer, "Does each rooster service the same hen each time?"

"No," replied the farmer, "there are many hens for each rooster."

"Perhaps you could point that out to Mrs. Coolidge," replied the President.

Empirical evidence

The original experiments with rats followed this protocol: A male rat would be placed into an enclosed large box with four or five female rats in estrus. He would immediately begin mating with all of the female rats repeatedly until eventually exhausted. Although the females would continue nudging and licking him to continue, he would not respond. However, if a novel female were introduced to the box, he would become alert and find the ability to mate once again with the new female. This phenomenon is not limited to Rattus norvegicus. It is attributed to an increase in dopamine levels and its subsequent effect upon the limbic system.

While the Coolidge effect is usually seen demonstrated by males – that is, males displaying renewed excitement with a novel female – Lester and Gorzalka developed a model to determine whether or not the Coolidge effect also occurs in females. Their experiment, which used hamsters instead of rats, found that it does occur in lesser degrees in females.

(Apparently this too happens in the human male population. I've seen it and experiencing it right now. haha. n_n sourced from wikipedia.org)

goodbye my child

I'm tired playing around with you.

After this semester, let's not meet again, shall we?

I'll get on with my life and face it alone again.

The High Priestess

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluctuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

Requiem for a Dream

Four hours has passed since watching Requiem for a Dream by Darren Aronofsky and still, I get shivers when I think about where their addictions had led them. This film is all about addictions and portrays it in it's most popular medium: drugs. Be it cocaine, meth, speed, heroin, chocolate, food, sex or love, addictions are destructive, at least that's what the films says. The film also deals with the delusions we face and what happens when we overtake reality and repair to our delusions of grandeur - reality will catch up pretty soon and there's gonna be a hard and sickening fall for you.

Okay, we are past the theme. Now, onwards to the delivery.

...

...

I cant write a proper review. I get the shivers. All I can say is that watching this film forces you to delve into the deepest and darkest emotions of man. What they will do to achieve something. How low they can go to satisfy their addictions.
The last 30 minutes of the film was too harrowing and forced me to look away but yet I am compelled to know what happens to them and how they will turn out. Darren takes you down the path of their own self destruction and when retribution comes along, makes you cringe at what had become of them. Eventually, they will again return to their dreamworld, for their reality is so unreal that it surpasses the darkest, most pitiful and obscene fantasies the human mind can imagine. Watching Requiem for a Dream is quite an experience. It evokes visceral emotions, emotions you never know could exist.

I don't know why but after I watched Requiem for a Dream, I had the strange urge to go out and smoke two cigarretes in each hand.
