I need to be sedated

As soon as I had caught sight of that chinese guy carrying this parcel from Arianne out of the post office, I knew na something big was up. For starters, it's a really big box! Grabe.
At ano to? Me kakaibang bigat siya!

Wow. Photobook. I rifled through the pages quickly and I knew that I was going to enjoy (and learn so much) this book. Anyway...

Ooooh. Salman Rushdie. I'm dying to read this... until I finish my book tower (4 books high). Medyo me kakapalan ang librong ito and I would really look like a cool intellectual guy when I read this on the subway. LOL

Eto pang isa, Required Readings for Anthropology of Political Systems? Ugh? Ang bigat ng titulo. Anyway, pag binasa ko to sa subway, ultimate international pogi points nanaman. Hahaha

At eto na. Camera case. This is not a good sign....

Pagbukas ko... ANAK NG!!!

ME CANON AE-1 NA BUMULAGA SAKIN!!!! ISANG NAPAKAKINIS AT NAPAKAELEGANTENG (tulad ni arianne, but in a different sense of elegance ehem) NA CAMERA

Now, I'm off to look for that 50mm f/1.2 lens. Hehehehe

Woah~! At me dalawa pang rolyo ng Ferrania Solaris!

I am reminded of the ending of Se7en, yung scene na "What's in the box, what's in the baaax?"

Salamat, mahal kong Arianne. Pero this means nothing if I can't see you soon. I'll be sending you the TLR and the diana soon pero when I see you, bibigyan kita ng mas nakakatuwang regalo.

mmm~

Vice Accounting II

Nagpunta ako sa Toronto International Camera Fair kani-kanina lang. But first let me tell you na yung "international" sa pangalan nung camera fair is nothing special. Ugh. I spotted some chinese people there, indians, french, germans selling leicas, and a lady named Aida who suspiciously looked filipino who is selling leicas. From the bits of conversation that I was able to hear (again, she has that suspicious tagalog accent), I think namatay yung asawa niya na hindi ko alam kung pinoy o kung ano, at iniwan sa kanya yung koleksyon niya. She has a platinum plated uber rare leica m4 (only 200 were made daw) and she's planning to sell it. Hay nako, ang mga pinoy nga naman. Hahaha :D

Oh look! there's a Canon 7(it looks like a leica III). Inoffer sakin iyan nung lalaki for $150. Ang mura na nun! Kaya lang wala pa sa budget kaya I'll let it go. Alam ko naman na next time ay me lalabas pa na Canon 7 sa mga camera fair dito.
Me lima din siyang Rollei. Tae, alam mo magkano yun? $250!

Rolleicord. I like.

Bellows.

Stereocamera ba tawag dun sa gitna? Sino na nakagamit nito?

See all those boxes? They contain expired $1 film. $1=P40. OMG.
Ektachromes, Fujichromes, Astia, Fujicolor, Tri-x, BW400CN, Ilford, Sensia, Velvia, Portra at kung ano ano pa. Unahan nga lang.

To give you a sense kung gaano kalaki yung venue, here's some photos

Ang daming tables! :D

Anyway, for the sake of accounting, ililista ko ang mga nabili ko.

Jupiter 8, $20.

Isang araw mababaklas ko to. Pero for now usable naman siya kaya ok na din. Nakakita nga pala ako ng Jupiter-3 for only $25! Kaya lang my enthusiasm was shot down nung nakita kong wala siyang aperture leafs. It must have been used in a microscope daw. Ugh.

Wide angle Canon lens. $20. P800. Ka-ching! Bargain!

Hey hey, she's a smoothie.

Mmmmm.

And here cometh the film.

Everything except the Superia 100 was bought at $1.

Total expenses, $20 (Jupiter 8) + $20 (Canon 28mm FD Mount) + $27 (120 and 35mm film) + $5 (entrance fee) is $72. P3,168.00.
