God is dead

The statement “Gott ist tot/God is dead” does not mean the physical destruction or the ideological death of God but it simply means that when one gives up Christian morals, one also gives up the Christian ideology and in that effect, one “kills” god.

Even if one still believes in the existence of the Christian god, one can still kill god.
