The Onslaught of Commercialism
It's the same concept, the same story but the corporations insist to repackage truths and shroud them in the deceitful cover of social acceptance and trendiness. They have taken our ideals that we can readily achieve through our own abilities, wrapped it in the glitzy glamour of garbage wrap and attatched to it the shameful price tag. They have degraded our abilities and declared that true success can only come from them. Why should I delude myself, believing that my potential and what I can do can be bound by their social rules which is based on prejudice and preconceived notions? Here I am, campaigning for higher thought and I am met only by hard looks and stares of bewilderment? I am almost always met by comments on my nature of thought. Nobody wants to think deeply anymore, the corporations have infused so deeply in the pop-culture youth that thinking deeply does not matter as long as you have something to delude yourself into thinking that you are emotionaly secure. Yes, probably you will think that I'm crazy but I have comfort in the knowledge that I act upon my own choices. This may be a solitary path but I have made it my life's mission to spread this line of thought so I may save others from the onslaught of commercialism
